Seven hours difference

What does it mean to belong somewhere? Where does the personal end and the common begin? And how do you find your voice in a world that won’t stop talking?
“Seven Hours Difference” is a two-part performance, created by two teams, but with one heart.
In the first movement, “Humans,” the dancers explore identity, belonging, and how we are constructed as individuals.
In the second, Simple Present Tense, the theme shifts to happiness, human relationships and the constant noise of modern life. The movement becomes a vocabulary in which every step, gesture or pause tells something real.

Created by the choreographers Associate Professor Dr. Tatiana Sokolova (Bulgaria) and Dr. Tsveta Kasabova (USA), the performance brings a sense of encounter – not just between cultures, but between people, stories, bodies. The performance is the result of a collaboration between NBU and the University of Michigan.

With the financial support of Varna Municipality Culture Fund, New Bulgarian University and American partner funds.
