Workshop - Ina Gerginova

Using contemporary dance techniques and improvisation we will dive together into a different exploration of movement. We will look for the connections between personal experiences and emotions, their dance embodiment and their synergy with live music, created in the moment, especially for us, by our musician and inspired by our movements!
Ina Gerginova is a choreographer, dancer, actress, teacher.
She is excited by interdisciplinary and experimental formats. Ina is the founder of Muzotanz Dance Company, whose focus is social engagement in the arts. Contemporary dance is the main means of expression in her work as a choreographer.
In her last two original performances (“Plast-tonia” and “Differences”) she also developed her interest in the use of dance dramaturgy, large-scale scenography and so-called cinematic approaches in theatre.
Ina also does playback theatre and voice over.
In 2022 he directed his first short dance film “Inner Room”, which received a nomination for IMPULS (Annual Awards of the Professional Dance Community in Bulgaria).
Ina Gerginova graduated from NATFA “Krastyo Sarafov” with a degree in Dance Theatre in 2013. Since then she has worked with many Bulgarian and foreign choreographers, participated in workshops of teachers from all over the world, among them. He also participates in prestigious forums and festivals, and in 2022 he is a scholarship recipient of the largest international dance festival ImPulsTanz, in a training program for choreographers – ATLAS.
He created and plans to develop the platforms “Muzotanz: Live” (a series of improvised dance performances with live music), “M.U.T.E” (laboratories for experimental co-creation between artists from different fields) and the online platform for contemporary socially engaged arts Move for Change. In 2022, Ina also created the interactive dance format Danceperimental.
Ina has been involved in playback theatre for 12 years (as an actress and conductor). She is the co-founder of Storycatchers.
Her Master’s Degree in Artistic Psychosocial Practices and Psychodrama enriched her creative vision, her knowledge of group dynamics and process management, and pushed her to develop in another field, namely psychosocial work in the arts, in relation to which – she created and led various workshops – for artists as well as for amateurs, people with an interest in theatre and dance, and groups with different needs.
Ina is inspired and motivated by the belief that art is For the people, it should be accessible and “speak” about those things that are usually silent.
